Genesis 7:1 ~ And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
We have said that the ark was a type of Christ saving, sealing, and preserving Christians in this present age in which we live. But the ark is also typical of the coming wrath of God upon the world. In this application, Noah and his family represent the remnant of Israel who will be preserved through the great tribulation. They are the ones who will turn to the Lord after the rapture of the church which was typified by Enoch who was translated before the judgment of the flood.
Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 5:9
Those who are in Christ when the rapture takes place will not go through the tribulation. Just as Enoch was translated before the flood so we too shall leave this world before the wrath of God is poured out upon this earth. This will happen before the seven years of tribulation begins because we are now justified by the blood of Christ, and we shall be saved from wrath through Him. As Christians we can rejoice in knowing that we have been delivered from the wrath to come. (1 Ths 5:9 / Rev 4:1)
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8
The Holy Spirit must be removed from the earth before the seven years can begin. The “He” in verse seven is the Holy Spirit. He is restraining the evil in the world. He will hinder the progress of Satan until the coming of Christ for His Bride which is the Church, which is also referred to as His Body. The Spirit’s present mission is to save, seal, and sanctify, as well as guide and direct believers. But when the Lord returns to remove His church, the Spirit will leave this world, and the devil will be unrestrained to do as he pleases. Now if we are sealed by the Spirit of the Lord, and the anti-Christ will not be revealed until He leaves, then we shall leave with Him as He will present us to the Lord just as the bride is adorned and presented to her husband on their wedding day. That will be the beginning of the tribulation. (Jn 14:16-17 / Rev 4-19)
The seven years of tribulation will begin at that very moment, and it is God’s dealings with three sets of people, thus there are three sets of judgments. The seven seals deal primarily with Israel, the seven trumpet judgments deal with the human family on the earth, and the seven vials deal with the judgment on the anti-Christ system. We will never have to enter or experience any of these judgments because at the moment a person accepts Christ as their Saviour, their sin has been judged in Christ, and they are no longer condemned and sentenced to death. Until a person receives Christ they are already condemned and the abide under the wrath of God. (John 3:18 & 36)
There were many in the days of Noah who heard the preaching of righteousness of Noah and Enoch. The preaching of righteousness is to turn in repentance from dead works and to trust is the living God. Paul preached righteousness when he testified to both Jews and Greeks of repentance towards God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the Gospel message which is the truth. Many heard the message in Noah’s day, and yet they ignored and rejected his warnings. They were the ones who entered the judgment rather than into the salvation of the Lord. In 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 there is a grave warning to those who have heard the message but have ignored or rejected the truth. When the rapture takes place, those who have heard and rejected the love and the truth of God in the Gospel message of Christ will have no place of repentance given them in the tribulation. They shall be given a strong delusion that they should believe the lies of the anti-Christ as he strikes up a deal to calm the world and bring about a false peace. They have entered into the judgment of the Lord rather than the salvation of the Lord.
If you are reading this and you have heard the Gospel, how that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, died for your sins, and was buried, and rose again the third day, you have heard the truth of the love of God. The love of God is His allowing the innocent One to die for the guilty and arise to justify them who believe and accept His pardon from bondage and condemnation. If you have not accepted and received Christ as your Saviour and the rapture takes place, your eternal destiny in the Lake of Fire will be sealed at the very moment of the rapture. Will you turn to Him now and receive Him that you may receive the abundant life of Grace and the eternal reward of Heaven?

Bible Reading: Genesis 7 / Psalm For The Day: Psalm 73
In Depth Study: TIME ON THE ARK
Three levels = A Triune God
One window = The only way to look is up to God
Psalm 121:1-2 ~ I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
The animals were taken in by two’s and by seven’s
~ The seven’s were the clean animals for sacrifice
God called them into the ark = God calls us out of the world
~ 2nd month, 10th day, they entered the ark (Noah was 600 yrs old)
~ It took them seven days to get the animals settled onto the ark
~ On the 17th day it began to rain & the waters of the deep places overran its boundaries
~ This is most likely where the continents were broken apart (Gen 7:11)
It rained forty days and nights = forty is the number for trials and testing
~ Moses was forty years in Pharaoh’s house = Then he was forty years in the desert before God used him
~ Jesus was forty days and nights without food and water before the tempter came to him
The waters were upon the earth 150 days before they started to recede
~ 7th month, 17th day the ark rested on Mt. Ararat (5 months on the ark)
~ 10th month, 1st day the mountains were seen (8 months on the ark)
The mountains were pushed up extremely higher by the continents being separated
This was due to the movement of the tectonic plates
There are seashells and fish bones atop some mountains far above sea level (Himalayas)
~ 40 days later the window of the ark was opened (9 months on the ark)
~ 1st month 1st day the face of the ground was dry, and the covering of the ark was removed (11 months on the ark)
~ 2nd month 27th day they came down off the ark (Noah was 601 yrs old)
~ Total time on the ark was about 375 days – approximately 1 year and ten days
